Follow Ups from Last Week:
Notes
-
Timelines

- Contributors can be in multiple roles. We should add responsibilities.
- These “Roles” will help define NFTs for Otterspace. Admin needs to be defined as person distributing NFTs on both Org Level and DAO level.
- Matty will work on designing an open design exercise
- One File with 5 boards (One per team and then one that is around Org at large)
- Designed as async participation. Teams can organize a time to go through it together or individually.
- Will be timeboxed (Nov 4th) for people to contribute.
- Louie will ping people who responded directly onto the poll to contribute.
- Shelby voiced more time would be good since we aren’t certain how much teams are participating
- Deadline for Nov 15 might be pushed to one extra week after we see participation on open exercise
- Consider the offsite: Will we have another transition/ org-design focus on v1.5?
-
Purpose Discussion
- Higher level Vision / Purpose Docs being wrapped up in these:
- We should help teams align on ideological sense of purpose & decentralization to help lubricate the operational processes.
- Other Observations
- Purpose in a more ideological sense (Louie’s interpretation):
- “We’re lacking cohesive/clear vision and/or strategy” > What’s driving Radicle at large?
- “Why can’t we keep as is?” > What’s the purpose of the Transition to the DAO.
- We’ve lost momentum on the narrative: Radicle was always meant to decentralize
- Issues aligning around ideological reasons to decentralize. This brings up two places of tension: 1. Collaboration/Cooperative work amongst CTs 2. Operationally structuring in a decentralized manner
- It’s little understood that there's a small group (FC) taking on risk for the many
- Should clarify short & long term benefits of going through decentralization
- “Extra” effort around structural/operational > What’s the purpose of Core Dev Org / a new structure. Why this specific organizational design?
- A lot of operational aspects are currently abstracted. Teams not understanding how they will get paid, etc.
